Petros Karystinos says about the exhibition “Studies in vacuum”: “Vacuum with all its relevant interpretations is the theme of my painting quest in this exhibition. Usually painters present works with a common painting style, their own characteristic style, the one that established them or even the one that is enforced on them by the art market in order for them to become recognisable. In the ensemble of the works presented, although I wished, I didn’t manage to stay loyal to this condition because my own work led me to a different elaboration of the forms on the subject of the “vacuum”. Nevertheless, as it usually happens, I will return at another time to each of the different form quests that coexist in this exhibition in order to develop them. Poros, 16th July 2013.”
