The objective of the exhibition is to present the creative identity of the young artists to the local community of Poros, as well as to the summer visitors of the island.
Litrivi believes that the financial and cultural crisis that we are going through can function as an incubator of new artists, as well as new art lovers. For this reason it proposes a variety of works of art, in an array of prices, but mainly art works in the logic of the international movement of cheap art, as an answer to the consideration of art as luxury.
Information about the exhibition
The works and the artists will change every month, so that the exhibition can host as many and different works as possible. Each part of the exhibition is distinct. The first part (10/5–8/6) consists of mainly representational works, with subjects derived from nature or the urban landscape. The second part (8/6–11/7) presents utopian, pop and gestural works, which unfold on many levels of reading. Finally, the last month of the exhibition (11/7–8/8) presents mainly pencil drawings, photographs, as well as several small, eccentric collages.
